The number of daytime sex workers/prostitutes is on the rise every day with harsh economic conditions rising in Kenya. Many women especially in ghettos/slums resort to prostitution as a way to cope up with harsh economic conditions. Nairobi and Nyeri are the most affected counties.

Unlike before, daytime prostitution expands and includes women who don't really venture in night time prostitution. If you are living in slums, you've probably encountered daytime sex workers. Daytime prostitution in Nairobi is widespread, operating primarily in the Central Business District (CBD), particularly around River Road and Duruma Road, as well as in residential suburbs like Kawangware.
